URBAN LEAGUE WELCOMES NEW PRESIDENT/CEO, WILLIAM T. McDANIEL III.
Austin, TX, MONDAY, March 12, 2012—After conducting a nationwide search, the Austin Area UrbanLeague (“AAUL”) is pleased to announce William “Teddy” McDaniel III as the organization’s new presidentand CEO. Mr. McDaniel has extensive experience in both public and private sector leadership roles. Hejoins the AAUL after serving as chief operating officer of the Greater Phoenix Urban League. In this role,he successfully managed program development, strategic planning and database/performancemanagement, and special events. In addition, he spent 15 years in the financial service industry,concentrating in the Franchise Business sector. From 2004-2008 he was an assistant vice president ofsales for GE Capital where he originated and underwrote over $100 million in real estate and commercialloans to small and medium size franchise businesses. He began his professional career in New York atChase Manhattan Bank after graduating with honors from Morehouse College with a BA in Finance.
Mr. McDaniel is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and has served on a number of boardsincluding 100 Black Men of Stamford, CT and Premier Charter School (Phoenix, AZ).
