G.I.R.L is a holistic whole-life development project that includes mental health support, whole-health advocacy, and mentorship that taps into the power of the community to holistically advocate for Black and/or Latinx girls while providing them with direct support in Travis County.

through individual and group sessions facilitated by a Black female psychologist
Increased access to mentorship
from Black and/or Latinx women that promotes emotional support and guidance
Mentorship and Support for
Central Texas Girls
Elegibility
- Black and/or Latinx girls (of African and/or Latinx descent)
- Homestead in Travis County
- Enrolled in high school within Travis County
- Between ages 13-19

Get Involved
Support A Girl
Group Meetings
- Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30
- Septetmber 2024 through July 2025
Monthly 1-on-1 Meetings
- In-person, virtual, phone, email, or social media
- Activities can include job shadowing service-learning projects, and casual social interactions
Process
- Complete an Interest Form
- Complete mentor training and background check
- Engage with mentees in guided group settings and monthly one-on-one's
