Operations Staff I

Job Summary

ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Operations Staff I for ASM/ The Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex.

This position functions under General Supervision of the Operations Manager.  He/She will oversee the maintenance, operation and repair of furniture, fixtures, basic electrical items, and perform semi-skilled duties including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and welding.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain log of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
  • Assist other Operations Department staff set up and take down special event equipment and materials.
  • Helps to maintain clean and sanitary conditions inside and outside the venue.
  • Maintains external areas of the venue including garden beds, and parking lot.
  • Maintain log of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
  • Follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • May assist in the skating arena, bowling, video arcade, food court, or special events a
  • Hours may be extended and/or irregular including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • This position is currently part-time, (up to 28 hours per week) but may transition to full time if needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good oral and written communication skills; must maintain a neat appearance; must be dependable, self- motivated, and responsible.  Must work to a high standard.

Required Education

High School diploma or GED; and at least 1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous experience as a handyman, carpenter, or apprentice to any of the above.   Any certifications are a plus!
