Clean drinking water is a basic necessity. Yet for neighbors experiencing homelessness in Austin, finding it can be a daily challenge. Long distances to water access points, limited transportation, and mobility barriers can make staying hydrated especially difficult as temperatures rise. Operation Hydration helps address this need by providing drinking water to unhoused neighbors. Your donation supports access to an essential resource and helps our community care for people exposed to the Texas heat.
When temperatures drop, having winter essentials can make a meaningful difference in a neighbor’s comfort and well-being. In partnership with Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation, the Austin Area Urban League hosts the annual Urban Santa Adopt-a-Family program, providing holiday gifts, cheer, and support to families facing economic hardship.
